The Independent raves about aWLp’s David Michalek’s Slow Dancing installation in its London debut. Twenty-foot tall screens present an array of dancers in stunning slow motion. Shot at 1000 frames per second, the vignettes put every subtle and intricate movement on display. After opening in Trafalgar Square, the installation is running at the Village Underground until July 24th.

At Chelsea’s Honey Space Gallery, directors Arni&Kinski recently showed eight large-format photographs and a video installation from their video for “Go Do,” the first single from the eponymous album by Jónsi, solo artist and lead singer of Sigur Rós. The Fuglastrákur exhibit marks the latest installment in a longstanding creative partnership between the directors and the artist.

Spike Jonze just released a short film, We Were Once A Fairytale, he did with Kanye West, which Whitelabel’s Wyatt Troll was the cinematographer on. The film follows a very inebriated West on a fictional ‘night on the town’ that ends with West facing his own inner demon-who happens to be adorable and animatronic.
