MoMA + Tim Burton

MoMA is hosting a retrospective on the career of Tim Burton; the exhibit will include a film series as well as a gallery exhibit where his drawings from childhood to present will be displayed. The exhibit is open to the public on November 22nd, 2009 and closes on April 26th, 2010 – click here for more info.

Goude Jewelry

Jean-Paul Goude- director, illustrator and photographer adds one more art form to his repertoire-Jewelry Maker. His pendants are made of gold, pearl and black laquer and are a modern twists on “The Fred’s” characters he created in 1979. Colette is the first to be premiering the jewelry. Adorable Demon

Spike Jonze just released a short film, We Were Once A Fairytale, he did with Kanye West, which Whitelabel’s Wyatt Troll was the cinematographer on.  The film follows a very inebriated West on a fictional ‘night on the town’ that ends with West facing his own inner demon-who happens to be adorable and animatronic.

The Films of Guy Bourdin

One of the greatest fashion photographers of all time, Guy Bourdin, just added another title onto his list of accomplishments-filmmaker. Department store, Le Bon, in Paris is currently showing 15 clips from Bourdin’s film work from 1960-1980 (till the end of October) .
