The best kind of inspiration surely comes from the strangest place. For aWLp’s Adria Petty, her inspiration for her latest short film stemmed from her recent visit to House Ear Institute as a patient. While most of us would be more preoccupied with getting through the doctor’s visit itself, Petty conjured a cinematic ode to her experience with a sci-fi twist. Premiered on Bullett Media today, check out “NU-6″ here.

Directed by Adria Petty, Live in London features footage from the musician’s recent gig at London’s Hammersmith Apollo Theatre. Spanning 64 minutes in length, the DVD includes backstage footage, inside peaks at sound check, a tribute to Spektor’s late cellist Daniel Cho, and more.  In store Nov 22.
